Forever Care No Kill Pet Rescue Foundation

Every dog deserves a forever home.

Our mission is to stop the euthanizing of dogs in county shelters. If you qualify, we pay the full adoption fee — and keep covering food, shots and vet care for the life of your dog.

Are you on a fixed income? A veteran? Disabled? On public assistance?

Our mission

Safe homes, before euthanasia is ever an option.

Forever Care was formed with the belief that every person benefits from the unconditional love of a dog. Seniors live longer, children grow up happier, and families thrive with a dog in the home.

We partner with shelters and foster families to place dogs with individuals and families regardless of their income level — and we cover all costs for those who qualify.

  • All adoption costs covered for eligible applicants
  • Adopt through any participating shelter or foster home
  • Ongoing essentials covered for fixed- and low-income households

How it works

Three steps to a new best friend

  1. Apply

Fill out our short application with proof of fixed or low income. It takes about ten minutes.

  2. Get your registration number

Once approved, you receive a Forever Care registration number.

  3. Pick your dog

Visit any participating shelter, pound or foster home, give them your number — we take care of the bills.

If you qualify, we cover

Care for the whole life of your dog

  • Food for the life of your dog
  • Vaccinations incl. rabies & yearly boosters
  • Vet care & medically necessary costs
  • Microchip & license
  • Grooming up to 3×/year + wellness checks
  • Toys & treats — safe and healthy

Coverage continues as long as you meet program requirements, remain on a fixed or low income, and provide a safe, healthy home. Room for more? You can apply to adopt up to five dogs.

Testimonials

What adopters and partners say

The adoption fee was covered and we received food and shot vouchers. Daisy fit right in — thank you for making this possible.
As a foster, I’ve never felt more supported. Vetting was handled quickly and supplies arrived the same week.
The program helped our shelter place seniors who were being overlooked. Fees covered = faster adoptions.
We adopted a bonded pair. Forever Care covered the fees and helped with a month of food to get us started.
Covering the fee removed the last barrier for our family. We can’t imagine life without Max now.
They advocated for a shy dog who needed time. We’re so grateful someone believed in her.
